Climate control section not displaying on screen

I had a bizarre issue yesterday. After parking to go in to a shop I came back, turned the car on but only the top and middle section on the screen was displaying.
So I had Top (Navigation, Clock, etc.) and the Middle (App selection, Audio, etc.) but nothing showing on the bottom third.
I could see that the bottom section was powered or at least I could see it was back-lit and not just dark.

No matter what I did, where I looked in the manual or what I searched online could help (or even mention of this glitch)
I even entered developer mode in case there was a weird toggle switch in the software there.

I did manage to get it sorted but it took a full factory reset of the touch screen.
I'm just happy I got it fixed before the snow and ice arrive tonight or tomorrow - Don't want no heating in minus temperatures.

Posting this in case anybody else comes up against this blip.

When you say you did a factory reset of the display do you mean going to “General Settings/System/Factory Data Reset?

I did the reset & all good now.
