Good evening everybody!
I have recently purchased a 2011 CRV mk 3
Whilst I like the car overall I am having a problem with the steering (electric powered rack) system!.
here is a brief summary of the issue.
When driving in a straight line if i move the steering wheel to the left by a few degrees IE- from the straight ahead or 12,o clock position to about the 11 o clock position and let go of the steering wheel the wheel does NOT self re-centre and the car continues to steer to the left until manually pulled back onto a straight course.
It however does return normally if steered to the right!.
feels like something binding up! like its "sticking" in this position
when turning left on more "normal" roads again the steering wheel does Not move the last few degrees back to the 12 o ,clock position.
this is what i have tried so far!-
new inner tie rods
new outer track rod ends
new lower bottom arms both sides
steering column universal joints checked for free movement and re-greased
tyre pressures checked 0n 225/60/18 wheels
4 wheel re-alignment done and within specifications
Is there any records of this as a problem anywhere or anyone experienced similar and been able to fix it?
any info gratefully received
many thanks
Steve
